Every now and again (too seldom, I fear!) we experience a defining
moment that has an deep impact on the way we view life from then
onwards.
Wednesday was such a moment for me - a moment of truth, when I
experienced strong affirmation of my own belief that, having achieved
the first miracle of a bloodless switch from apartheid to democracy, we
hold the gifts we need to achieve the second miracle (I don't want a
lot, just this!) of joining the rest of the world as economic equals
capable of holding their own.
We have a wealth of talent and the two of you showed just how far it
stretches with your very open, warm and empowering presentation.
...I could definitely see the benefits of letting go and getting to
know, understand and appreciate my fellow delegates.
